Parkside, an enclave of Single Family Homes built in the late 1950s at the Marina Lagoon with a Marina, Restaurants and Shopping with space between neighbors and two community schools and parks, a public pool a ball field, dog park. It is all in jeopardy of being over run unless we stand up, band together and save our neighborhoods.

At this meeting the General Plan team will provide an overview presentation that will walk the GPS through the alternatives, summarize the results of the alternatives evaluation report, and community input received to-date on the preferred scenario. There will be time for public comment and GPS questions and discussion.

The goal of this meeting will be to solicit GPS feedback on the preferred land use and circulation scenario.
The GPS will review the land use alternatives by study area and mix and match components of each alternative to describe a preferred land use scenario. The General Plan team will ask the GPS to identify the elements of each circulation alternative they would like included in the preferred circulation scenario. There will be time for public comment.

Public Comments
The City encourages the community to attend the GPS meeting. Public comments will have time limits and can be submitted in the following ways:
- Prior to the meeting in writing: Send comments to: generalplan@cityofsanmateo.org until 4 p.m. the day of the meeting.
- During the meeting by computer: All attendees are muted by default. When the item of interest is open for consideration, press the “Raise Your Hand” icon and you will be called on at the appropriate time.
- During the meeting by telephone: Call (408) 638-0968 and enter the conference ID found at the top of this email. To indicate you want to provide public comment, when the item of interest is open for consideration, press *9 to raise your hand. When called upon press * 6 to unmute, state your name and provide your comments.

SB 9: Ministerial Urban Lot Splits and Duplexes
What does SB 9 Require?
New Title
This law requires that a city or county ministerially approve without discretionary review or a hearing either or both of the following in urban areas as defined, (subject to a number of exceptions and conditions):
· A housing development of no more than two units in a single-family zone (duplex*).
· The subdivision of an owner occupied parcel zoned for residential use, into two approximately equal parcels ("lot split") as long as neither parcel is less than 1200 square feet and the owner agrees to owner occupy one of the units for three years.
This law requires that a city or county ministerial approval without discretionary review or a hearing either or imply that the two units must be connected.
*The use of the term duplex for two units does not mean or imply that the two units must be connected.
